We will maintain our position based on principles, Risograph prints, 8” x 10”, 2016
Two risograph printed takeaways, printed as replicas of a 1971 Fidel Castro speech commemorating the 18th Anniversary of the Cuban Day of Revolution, sourced from Brad Duncan’s Radical Archive in Philadelphia, PA, printed and editioned in black and red with a simple text title, consistent with the Granma newspaper aesthetic. These prints were created on July 26th, 2016, the 63rd anniversary of the Moncada Garrison attack starting a revolution. Forty-four years from the day Castro delivered his speech rebuking colonialism, American exceptionalism, and his unflinching resistance to American imperialism.
